Networking
Most small businesses and home office users require connectivity with other computers and equipment, typically laptops and shared printers. Connecting computers can be a challenge for some and for others it's just something they would rather not do. Using either wireless or wired systems we can have your internal network together with your Internet connections running seamlessly. Our experience covers not only Macintosh networks but also the integration of PCs running Microsoft Windows.

System Migration
"System Migration" is the process of moving a user's entire account data from one machine to another - without disturbance. Muddled or inaccurate transfer can result in confusion and the loss of valuable time. The way we use our computers today produce complex configurations of user data - network settings, e-mail accounts, mailboxes, address books, web profiles and application preferences. If you're switching to a new machine and are worried about where everything should go, give us a call.

Getting On-Line
Internet access is frequently the first requirement of a user. We can assist you when setting up new e-mail accounts or transferring existing accounts from older systems. If you are switching from another operating system we can recommend the best programs to use. This can be especially helpful for users switching from Windows to Mac or vice-versa.

Hardware Upgrades
If you're computer's feeling a bit sluggish but you're not yet ready to assign it to the scrap-heap, you'll be happy to know there's much that can be done to "pep it up". By identifying the cause and making an affordable hardware upgrade we can breath new life into your trusty old mac. Hardware upgrades typically include the installation of extra memory or increased hard-disk capacity.

Training
Charlie de Montagnac, the director of deMont Digital, has previous experience working at two of London's major IT training agencies. He has conducted courses not only on the operating system itself but with several other major creative applications. With this background we are confident we can help you better understand your software and how to get more out of it.

Backing Up
A spectre that haunts every computer user is data loss. Whether due to accidental deletion or hardware failure, the best measures to deal with data loss are preventative ones. Recovering deleted data from a drive, is a major headache and often horrifically expensive. A back-up scheme, tailored to suit your needs, is the sensible way to go. I can help you organise such a system for your office and prevent a grim scenario becoming reality.

Consultancy and Advice
If you're considering the purchase of new computer equipment or software, we can provide you with all the information needed to help you make the correct decision. Having the right information in the early stages of choosing a system saves you more than you'd expect in the long run.
